Accepting Gods wisdom

 S - Prov 2:1 -    (NASB)

My son, if you accept my words
and store up my commands within you,
turning your ear to wisdom
and applying your heart to understanding—
indeed, if you call out for insight
    and cry aloud for understanding,
and if you look for it as for silver
and search for it as for hidden treasure,
then you will understand the fear of the Lord
and find the knowledge of God.
For the Lord gives wisdom;
from his mouth come knowledge and understanding.
He holds success in store for the upright,
he is a shield to those whose walk is blameless,
for he guards the course of the just
and protects the way of his faithful ones.

Then you will understand what is right and just
    and fair—every good path.
10 For wisdom will enter your heart,
and knowledge will be pleasant to your soul.
11 Discretion will protect you,
    and understanding will guard you.

O -  I know God is the source of our wisdom and if we seek Him, He is willing to impart the wisdom to us.    If we truly believe this,  we will seek Him in all things in our life.  Yet the pattern can be seen in most men's life when they begin to rely on their own wisdom or knowledge vice seeking God's. Knowledge in our heads is not as powerful as wisdom in our heart, and God's promise to those who seek Him and His wisdom will have it and have it enter their heart.

A - The application for me is to recognize I need to come bare and naked before the Lord and seek his wisdom and allow it to enter my heart.  Only then will I be able to walk in the Lords ways, and speak life and truth into other people, when the living God, who lives in me, guides my words and actions.  The key is to come humble and be ready to obey,  because often God's ways are not the ways of men.

P - Dear heavenly Father, thank you for today's wisdom, Lord help me to head it and humbly seek you and your ways.   Lord on my heart is first and foremost to learn and obedient to you in how to love my wife well.   You know my heart, but I know my flesh is week and often times does not speak wife into her, and for that I am repentant becaue she is your daughter, and you love her in a special way.
