God cause growth

God cause growth
S -1 Cor 3:5-9 (NASB)
5 What then is Apollos? And what is Paul? Servants through whom you believed, even as the Lord gave opportunity to each one.6 I planted, Apollos watered, but God was causing the growth.7 So then neither the one who plants nor the one who waters is anything, but God who causes the growth.8 Now he who plants and he who waters are one; but each will receive his own reward according to his own labor.9 For we are God's fellow workers; you are God's field , God's building.

O - As I have been reading about in the book Reckless Faith,  as Pastor Kevin Harney might put it, we are to spread seed recklessly (with abandon) because we really don't know the soil it will land in.    Paul's argument here to the Corinthians is similar, saying it really doesn't matter who plants or who waters, because ultimately God is in control and he is the one who causes growth.

A - As a Christian this helps me to remember that I can't over think the gospel and evangelism.  I am simply to share God's love, God's word, and God''s grace wherever I go.     I must not try and seek out rich soil, or more likely in my case figure out if the soil is ready for the seed, but rather share what I know about God and let him cause the growth.

P - Thank you Lord for your love, your grace, and your patient understanding of who I am.   I pray Lord that you would help me act in boldness when spreading your good news.  I pray all this in Jesus name, Amen.
