The Prayer of Faith
13 Is anyone among you in trouble? Let them pray. Is anyone happy? Let them sing songs of praise. 14 Is anyone among you sick? Let them call the elders of the church to pray over them and anoint them with oil in the name of the Lord. 15 And the prayer offered in faith will make the sick person well; the Lord will raise them up. If they have sinned, they will be forgiven. 16 Therefore confess your sins to each other and pray for each other so that you may be healed. The prayer of a righteous person is powerful and effective.
O-the prayer of a righteous person is effective, that is the message for me today. James reminds me we all have troubles we are dealing with but we all can pray, or more importantly we can go to the elders amongst us and ask for prayer.
A-. This is a reminder for me to have to prayer list, one for proper and things I am praying for and one in which I will send the prayers of elders who provide a spiritual covering that only God's people can provide.
P- Dear heavenly father thank you for today's lesson, may it be sealed to my heart. Lord help me to seek out prayer for those things in my life that I need a spiritual covering. I pray all this in Jesus name, Amen.
