S - Phillipian 4: (NIV)
4 Rejoice in the Lord always. I will say it again: Rejoice! 5 Let your gentleness be evident to all. The Lord is near. 6 Do not be anxious about anything, but in every situation, by prayer and petition, with thanksgiving, present your requests to God. 7 And the peace of God, which transcends all understanding, will guard your hearts and your minds in Christ Jesus.
8 Finally, brothers and sisters, whatever is true, whatever is noble, whatever is right, whatever is pure, whatever is lovely, whatever is admirable—if anything is excellent or praiseworthy—think about such things. 9 Whatever you have learned or received or heard from me, or seen in me—put it into practice. And the God of peace will be with you.
O - Paul's message to the people of the church at Corinth is to give them advice on how to live in what at times can feel like an uncertain time. This was the early church and as it was newly formed it faced the reality of the life and its people who were trying to live their best lives but that as a result of their faith in Christ would also face trials. And the Lord speaks to all of us through Paul " Do not be anxious for anything but pray , petition and give thanks to God and presenting our requests to God He is sure to give us peace.
A - The very real application for me is to follow these instructions from the Lord and give up my troubles to the Lord. He will help me walk through this valley time. I need to concentrate on what is true and noble and right, keep my thoughts on the Lord and all he has done and is positively doing for me . I must allow the peace of God to envelope my mind and guide my actions so that it is not I that is moving it is the Lord.
P - Dear heavenly father I come to you this morning thankful for the life you have given me and the grace and mercy as I blundered my finances and mistreated my family with my behavior. I humbly pray Lord that you would help me get untangled from this bad debt that I have with the vehicles and that you make a way for me to make living to support my family. I pray for your peace in my heart and mind, that you would guard my thoughts from bad thoughts from the enemy of my soul. I pray this in Jesus name, Amen.
