S - 2 Timothy 3
New American Standard Bible (NASB)
You, however, continue in the things you have learned and become convinced of, knowing from whom you have learned them, 15 and that from childhood you have known the sacred writings which are able to give you the wisdom that leads to salvation through faith which is in Christ Jesus. 16 All Scripture is [h]inspired by God and profitable for teaching, for reproof, for correction, for [i]training in righteousness; 17 so that the man of God may be adequate, equipped for every good work
O- Paul's exhortation toTimothy here is one in which after warning Timothy of the trials of being a Christian he shows him where his hope lies. The answer is the word of God equips and provides the man of God for every good work. God is our source of strength. Gods word is our wisdom, direction, shield and sword.
A - the application for me is that I needed to both keep grounded in Gods word as well as continue to equip myself in his word for every good work. My daily devotions and personal studies of Gods word will continue to sharpen and strengthen me if I will stay with it.
P - Dear Heavenly Father thank you for today's word, may it be planted deep in my heart, restore my weary sole, and sharpen me so I may continue to serve you with all my heart mind, soul, and strenghth.
