Beware of hypocrisy

S - Luke 12:1-3 (NASB)
He began saying to His disciples first of all,Beware of the leaven of the Pharisees, which is hypocrisy. 2 But there is nothing covered up that will not be revealed, and hidden that will not be known. 3 Accordingly, whatever you have said in the dark will be heard in the light, and what you have whispered in the inner rooms will be proclaimed upon the housetops.

O -  How true this is even in faithful believers but that a little leaven of hypocrisy will take the witness of a great believer and turn it against cause of drawing people nearer to God.   The Pharisee's started off with good intentions, to intently follow the Law of Moses.  But the hypocrisy comes when what they say in public, doesn't match there private motives and actions.

A - The application for me is to battle with my flesh and the seeds of hypocrisy that still likely lie within me.  That I would cultivate a life of truth and transparency.

P  - Dear heavenly Father, thank you for today's word, may it be sealed to my heart.  I pray Lord that you would assist me in removing all remaining seeds of hypocrisy in my life.  I pray this in Jesus name, Amen.
