Remain people of Christ and resist the devil

S - Revelations 20 NASB

Satan Bound

20 Then I saw an angel coming down from heaven, holding the key of the abyss and a great chain ^[a]in his hand. ² And he laid hold of the dragon, the serpent of old, who is the devil and Satan, and bound him for a thousand years; ³ and he threw him into the abyss, and shut it and sealed it over him, so that he would not deceive the nations any longer, until the thousand years were completed; after these things he must be released for a short time.

⁴ Then I saw thrones, and they sat on them, and judgment was given to them. And I saw the souls of those who had been beheaded because of ^[b]their testimony of Jesus and because of the word of God, and those who had notworshiped the beast or his image, and had not received themark on their forehead and on their hand; and they came to life and reigned with Christ for a thousand years. ⁵ The rest of the dead did not come to life until the thousand years were completed. This is the first resurrection. ⁶ Blessed and holy is the one who has a part in the first resurrection; over these the second death has no power, but they will be priests of God and of Christ and will reign with Him for a thousand years.

O - My immediate observation was how "how lucky are these guys"   they are given 1000 years where Satan can't complicate their faith in follow the truth.   What is even more interesting is this is when the judgement of all is about to occur, first the saints who served Christ faithfully and lost their lives for it, then all those that during who did nto received the mark of the beast.   For those thousand years, there was no Satan, and those who did not receive the mark of the beast  reigned with Christ.  What an opportunity for all who lived during that time to truly know Christ.

A -  The application for me is to understand that I am very challenged to resist the lies of Satan,  and to live true to Christ,  but I must.  The second application is to remain true because in the end,  I will be able to be apart of the first resurrection and reign with Christ to affect even more people for Him,  I will be a preist of God and work for the best boss I could ever hope for  ,  Christ.
P - Dear Heavenly Father, thank your for this day you have made,  your revelation of what is and what is to come.   I am refreshed and rejuvenated by your word and your presence  in my life.   I only  pray that you help me to resist Satan, and any thing of this world that would draw me away for you.  I pray all this in Jesus name, Amen.
